Not a one-liner

No, this is not a one-liner. That being said, don't worry; I'll keep it short.
Found a flat. A good one, I believe.
The neighbourhood looks decent enough (I have yet to see but one crackhead roaming around) and it's relatively close to my college (my guess is twentyish minutes to half an hour via public transportation and dependant of traffic).
The apartment itself is neither small, neither large. Actually, for a bachelor pad, it is kinda big. But I don't mind.
And the owners seem like a really good folk. They're young, funny and they do seem fair. But time will tell on that one; I'm really gullible when it comes to people and their intentions.
The price... Well, it's in my price range. The midlle to high end of it. But it's actually a good price; between me and you, they could have gotten more dough for that place. Again, I'm perfectly happy with that.
But, don't worry; I'll find something wrong with this place soon enough.

EDIT:
In the light of certain comments made in this post by the author himself, I would like to state that I did not dress into or, by any means, try to impersonate a woman as a means of getting the apartment. I could never pull it off with my legs.

  22. this reminds me about a home that had nice new homeowner/renting folk. they were great but when we went to move out they didn't show up together to inspect and at the end there was this akward time when the husband suggested i take some of the deposit.... I was like "I'll wait till your wife sees it" and he insisted. the 1200 dollar deposit, I only got 400 because she flipped that the carpet took so much use/wear... What a nice guy knew his wife was gonna try and keep all that money lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. I usually don't get any deposit back. That being said, no, I don't wreck the place, but people simply don't want to give it back. :S

  51. Dude, it's a great time from your new flat to your college. I had to travel more than an hour when I was studying at the university.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh, I know the feeling. This is the first flat I live in that is near my college. The last one wasn't even in the same city. And most of my flats were more than an hour away from my college. :S

  87. Money is a bit of a problem on my end too. That is why you should take your time when renting the flat. Find the underpriced one. My rent for this place is around 250 bucks. Which is not much. And the owners could have gotten 400 to 500 easily. Just start your search early enough!
