I don't normally celebrate this, but I'm guessing this makes me a real rocknrolla. :)

Wednesday, 28 September 2011

So, our evening news actually made a break from our bad economy and our even worse politicians and aired a report about a rock album that moved the world; maybe we're not doomed after all. :)

So, the last you have heard of me was about me staying in, right?
Well, I guess I should have stayed in the whole weekend.

Saturday comes and my girlfriend craves for some unhealthy food. She needs some McDonald's McLovin'.

Also, mind you, what does she care?! She has the body of one Blake Lively and is incapable of gaining any fat, no matter how much she eats.
I, on the other hand, am a bit different pair of sleeves.

But, I digress.

Anyhow, to cut a long story short, we take this God- awful menu just so she could get a glass. A cute glass, a blue one. But a glass, nonetheless.

And what do I get?

Staying in :)

I'm gonna enjoy a nice little stay- in Friday today: my girlfriend, some popcorn and a How I met your mother dvd. :)

Mafia Wars

After the initial shootout in a near by bar, the local mobsters decided to bring Facebook to our little street and turn our slice of heaven into a Mafia Wars contest. -.-' :D

Quattro stagioni

I was just thinking: if the seasons got all messed up (like they did), isn't it time to rethink the whole quattro stagioni pizza concept? ;D

Tuesday, 20 September 2011

The wild card seasons -.-'

I seem to recall a time when the seasons would go Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, all in the said order, and not Summer in the am, followed by a noonish Winter, Fall in the afternoon and Spring in the night. -.-'

And the award goes to... #2

Not so long ago, and you should remember this, I had this award- giving post in which I stated that I actually won not one but two awards.

Well, as it's Monday and there's nothing better to do, I guess it's time to follow through on that second award.

The given award, this time around, is:

The Liebster Blog

The rules are:
1. It should be spread to five bloggers
2. Thank and link back to the sender
3. Bloggers followers must be less than 200
So, let us start!
The five blogs I choose to get this award (and, believe you me, I'd love it if I could give the award to all of my followers):

Gizmo. He writes about the Android or, to be more precise, about Android apps. He really comes in handy. :)

My 2 Pesos. Ok, he has a wee bit more than 200 followers. But he's really, really good. If you like titles like "12 Funny And Bizzare signs" or "8 Geek Bars and Restaurants Around The World", he's your man. :)

Dakota. A Hello Kitty blog. 'Nuff said. :D

The Accidental Somebody. She's a mom, she wears a uniform and she's pretty fun to read. :)

Leelee. She writes about music and she's hot. :D

That's five. :D

And the person who awarded me with this award is Everyday life of Cray. You all know him by now.
What you maybe don't know is that he recently adopted a new style of writing that is short, simple and to the point. And, as you can imagine, I love it. :D

So, that's about it.
I'm all outta rewards. :D

Sunday, 18 September 2011

Good morning! :D

You know that you live in a good neighbourhood when the gunshots wake you up in the morning. :D

Saturday, 17 September 2011

Who knows?

The last post got me thinking: where would we be if the Einsteins and Hawkings of this world had to drop out of college because of the huge tuition fees?

Friday, 16 September 2011

Snap. :(

As some of you may know, I live in a country where the education doesn't come for free, but when I found out that my "bill" for this semester would be one average paycheck, I was a wee bit surprised, to say the least. -.-'

And the award goes to... #1

So, as I know you guys are used to reading one sentence posts here, I'll try to be as brief as possible.

I've actually won something. An award. Well, if we are to be precise, two awards. Yeah, two! :D
It wasn't in real life, mind you, but here, in the all mighty realm of the blogosphere.
(that kinda rhymes :D)

So, without any further ado, I give you:

The Sunshine Award 2011.

The rules are quite simple here:

1. Thank the person who gave you this award and write a post about it.
2. Answer the following questions:
  • Favourite Colour
  • Favourite Animal
  • Favourite Number
  • Favourite Drink
  • Facebook or Twitter
  • Your passion
  • Giving or getting presents
  • Favourite pattern
  • Favourite day
  • Favourite flowers
3. Pass it on to ten fabulous bloggers and send them a message to let them know.

So, now that we've got all of the rules lined up, let us start. :)

The person who awarded me with the said award is Michael Westside of Everyday life of Cray. He's a swell young dude that, most of all, likes to party. He's hip, he's cool, he's fun. :)
I like to think of him as the Carrie Bradshaw of the ;D
'Nuff said.

Now, on to me.
  • Favourite Colour: This changes a lot. But, I'd say green.
  • Favourite Animal: Dogs. Gotta love them. :)
  • Favourite Number: 8
  • Favourite Drink: Depends. Coffee in the morning, beer in the evening.
  • Facebook or Twitter: Both. But I like Twitter better.
  • Your passion: Dunno. Guitar. Oh, and daydreaming. I'm very good at that. :D
  • Giving or getting presents: Giving.
  • Favourite pattern: Huh?
  • Favourite day: Tomorrow.
  • Favourite flowers: Roses. Red ones.
Ten bloggers? Gosh.
First of, I love all of you. The way mothers love their children or chunky dudes love bacon. Actually, the way everybody loves bacon. Yeah, I'll go with that.
That being said, obviously, I have to pick ten.

So, here I go:

D4. This dude has some great taste in music. And he's versatile: a bit of rock here, a tad of ska there; this dude has it all. Also, the stuff he posts is, mostly, unknown to my ear. :)

GM soccer picks. As you can see, he writes about soccer. And we share the same passion for the game, so that's cool to me. But he's also more than that. Lately, he started with this series of soccer- based comics that are hands down hilarious. Worth a look, believe me. :)

Yeamie Waffles. Just like me, he writes about some everyday stuff. Unlike me, he writes a lot. His posts are massive, yet fluent. A lovely young lad. :)

The natural one. This dude, actually, is in touch with the nature. Not in a freaky way, though. He plants his tobacco and writes (mostly) about it. It's really cool to see the progress. :)

Tim. Wow. I believe all of you know him. He's a real life writer and a lunatic pope. Yeah. A lunatic pope. Imagine that. :D

Marina. A lovely young las that's (obviously ;D) a lifecoach wannabe. Most of her posts can improve your life in one way or another. :)

Copyboy. He's a wildcard. One thing's for sure, he'll show you some good fun. :)

Idaho. The chronicles of Idaho. This dude is such a good read! :)

A. You know those comics that make you laugh so hard? He has them all. :)

Katie. Her everyday life is a nice little adventure and her picture heavy posts are a must read. Seriously. Go! :)

So, that's about it.
Just remember, if I didn't pick you, doesn't mean I don't love you. :)

I still have one award to write about, but we'll get to it some other day; I just pressed the "preview" button and this post looks huge. :D

Tuesday, 13 September 2011

Oh, well...

I just checked my schedule and, as it turn out, I've got my classes from 8 am till 8 pm today (which means that, you've guessed it, I'm already late). -.-'

I don't even know what they're playing

Nothing much to do today on such a dull, sunny Sunday in my small town but visit the local cinema and enjoy a nice, comfy loveseat with my girlfriend. :)

Just sayin'

I was just watching a rerun of The Mentalist on the telly where Cho and Rigsby needed to jump over a big fence (and they did so in an, might I add, everyday manner) and a thought came to my head: why do our police officers need to meet the highest physical standards and, yet, need not be in the (at least) equal intellectual shape?

Aren't we classy! :D

Today, we're (and by the "we" in "we're", I mean me, my family, my gf and a couple of my mates) at my vineyard where we'll be picking some sweet sweet grapes so we could, further on down the road, make some  delicious red red wine.

A nice beginning to the semester

Not only am I really hangover, but I ate something really, really bad in the college cafeteria and now, well, let's just say that whatever entered my body in the last couple days, it's getting out at the speed of light. :@ -.-'

Believe it or not...

Do you all know how Cristiano Ronaldo might be?
Well, if you don't (and you were lazy enough not to click the above link), I'll tell you...
He is one of the finest soccer players of our time. He's a jerk, granted, but his skills are insane.

Well, anyhow, here comes the "believe it or not" part.

I was in a dance off contest against the said Cristiano Ronaldo himself.
Prize? A jacuzzi full of M&Ms!

Normally, you all know that I operate on two left feet, but the M&M prize was a motive good enough to make me pull out my the- best- of- John- Travolta moves and, surely enough, defeat the soccer giant.

You don't believe me?

P. S.
Thank you, my dear GMSP; you're a great blogger and an even better bloke! :)

Cheers! :)

Where did *that* go?

After watching the last episode of Friends (for, like, the 100th time, I reckon) I realized that, at one point in my life, there were summers whose end would break my heart.

Dragons to slay!

It is only natural that I would find my long lost and forgotten Baldur's Gate 2 discs just at the end of the summer, thus the absence of both yesterday's post and my social life from now on.

(this is what I look like in the game)
