I blame MTV

I was going through my old, dusty, forgotten winamp playlists folder on my old, dusty, forgotten used- to- be- a- beast- PC and came to a surprising revelation: I listened to way better music back in highschool than I do now. :s

  2. Oh dear, I know that feel. Although I kind of have the opposite problem, there are a ton of bands I need to check out but I don't really have the time/money/internet to cheeck 'em out properly.

  4. Happened me the exact same thing, i was going through some boxes in my closet, i found out a bunch of AWESOME cd's i havent listened in years. There were some gems there like 4 or 5 Zappa albums a bunch from Black Sabbath and so on...you get the idea.

  15. i happen to think the reverse. i used to listen to a lot of poppy bull shit but i've grown and found myself slipping into jazz, live rock, singer/song writer and good underground hip hop (cause i'm gangsta). www.thepenguingazette.blogspot.com

  17. Good music gets better with age, so today’s crap will often turn out to be tomorrows must listen to retro brilliance ….

  18. Yeah, music was better back in the 90's and early 2000's. Wait, when did you go to high school?

  22. I find my tastes have diversified but also concentrated at the same time. I like more niche music compared to the old classic rock I used to dig. I think it's just a matter of naturally growing tired of it and looking for something different, which naturally brings you to some esoteric styles.

  26. The music industry is overly saturated in every music category today. If I want music, I turn on pandora and go back in time! :)

  27. I think I only listened to Pearl Jam's Ten on repeat.
