I'd love to hear your say in this: is there a chance that a vinyl record player worth about 50 bucks (new, from a shop, not second hand and never used) is any good?
Possibly but it honestly depends on the situation I guess so I couldn't say really. Good luck if you buy it anyway buddy, it's a bit of lottery at the end of the day.
I think if you can afford to buy vinyl records one after another, I say go for it. The quality of a vinyl record is ostensibly superior to that of our precious CDs and MP3. If you listen to classical music you will hear a distinct difference. Even with rock music... If you play a vinyl record, it'll have the impression of the band playing right in your room. It's a very good investment if you're a music enthusiast.
@all: My older readers might remember that, in fact, I already own one. But, let's face it, one is better than two. ;D Dunno. It's one of those no- name things. If it was a big brand, it wouldn't be only 50 bucks. I'll sleep on it. I'll let you know. :)
Check the brand name.
ReplyDeleteprobably depends on the brand like Bersercules said
ReplyDeleteBilo je u emmezeti za 200kn CD+gramafon :P
ReplyDeletei dunno lol
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be that good, but checking online is always a good idea. If it's at least decent, i would snap buy it.
ReplyDeletei dunno do you have any vinyl...i love the sound of records playing...the pop and scratch...give it a test run and see...
ReplyDeleteI'd buy it!
ReplyDeleteWon't be great, but if you have good speakers and needle cartridge it can make up for it!

ReplyDeleteNo, it's a good price. You could probably get a USB turntable for the same price, and it will stay up to date with the rest of your equipment!
ReplyDeleteIf you want it, buy it :)
ReplyDeleteBuy what you desire: D
ReplyDeletei'm not good at making decisions. i tend to buy things and regret afterwards ~_~
ReplyDeleteJust remember, usually, you get what you pay for. That being said, if you're not an audiophile you'll probably be okay.
ReplyDeleteUm, one sentence ? How could that be a hard decision!
ReplyDeleteClassic and awesome, I say go for it...if ya got some records to playof course! :)

ReplyDelete$50 sounds ridiculously good for a new and never before used record player by the way. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteI think it should be good, though, what if it only is said that it has never been used and is new?
ReplyDeleteMight be fun for nostalgia I guess.
ReplyDeleteup to you =)
ReplyDeletehonestly, I have no idea what's that thing. hehe
research it on the internet.
ReplyDeleteget a new record player that plays mp3s instead
ReplyDeletePersonally, you should just get quality headphones. For 50, you could garner the same wonder sound quality, without the fuss of vinly.
ReplyDeleteI already bought one. I sold it after 1 year because I stopped using it really soon.

ReplyDeleteIt would. The more I think of it, the more I want it. :D
