I didn't really notice this earlier but yesterday was, believe it or not, my 99th post; guess what! ;)

Aces

Two long weeks have passed and, today, I finally got the results of my exam: aced it! :)

Push ups

Lately (well, for about a week now), I've been giving this 100 push ups program a shot and now, at the end of my week one (it's a six weeks program), I feel I can say that I'm, in fact, pretty satisfied; 100, here I come! :)

Language help!

As some of you may (or may not) know, I'm always looking for ways to improve myself. A good way to do such a thing is to learn new languages.

I noticed that most of my followers speak fluent English but have some other mother tongue.

So, what I'd like you to do is to tell me how I could learn your native language on- line. I don't have much spare cash at the moment to pay for foreign language classes and, in all honesty, I think that's something one can learn using alternative sources.

So, if you know any good links that could help me learn your language, post away; I'm especially interested in French, German, Spanish and Italian. :)

Love and Other Drugs

As suggested by many of my followers (in comments to this post), I went on and saw Love and Other Drugs and, well, three things: this is not your regular boy meets girl comedy (actually, I'd say it's a dramedy), I have the biggest crush on Anne Hathaway and the movie itself is not half bad; worth a watch.

I'd love to hear your say in this: is there a chance that a vinyl record player worth about 50 bucks (new, from a shop, not second hand and never used) is any good?

Google loves Croatia! :)

So, I'm Croatian.
Some of you may know this, some of you don't.

But, yeah, I'm Croatian.

Anyhow, yesterday was Croatian Independence Day. The 20th one. :)
And, apparently, Google thought it was a big enough deal to honour Croatia with the following when going to the google.com.

McFail

So, the last you have heard of me was about me staying in, right?

Well, I guess I should have stayed in the whole weekend.

Saturday comes and my girlfriend craves for some unhealthy food. She needs some McDonald's McLovin'.

Also, mind you, what does she care?! She has the body of one Blake Lively and is incapable of gaining any fat, no matter how much she eats.

I, on the other hand, am a bit different pair of sleeves.

But, I digress.

Anyhow, to cut a long story short, we take this God- awful menu just so she could get a glass. A cute glass, a blue one. But a glass, nonetheless.

And what do I get?

Diarrhea.

Staying in :)

I'm gonna enjoy a nice little stay- in Friday today: my girlfriend, some popcorn and a How I met your mother dvd. :)

First of, I love all of you. The way mothers love their children or chunky dudes love bacon. Actually, the way everybody loves bacon. Yeah, I'll go with that.

That being said, obviously, I have to pick ten.

D4. This dude has some great taste in music. And he's versatile: a bit of rock here, a tad of ska there; this dude has it all. Also, the stuff he posts is, mostly, unknown to my ear. :)

GM soccer picks. As you can see, he writes about soccer. And we share the same passion for the game, so that's cool to me. But he's also more than that. Lately, he started with this series of soccer- based comics that are hands down hilarious. Worth a look, believe me. :)

Yeamie Waffles. Just like me, he writes about some everyday stuff. Unlike me, he writes a lot. His posts are massive, yet fluent. A lovely young lad. :)

The natural one. This dude, actually, is in touch with the nature. Not in a freaky way, though. He plants his tobacco and writes (mostly) about it. It's really cool to see the progress. :)

Tim. Wow. I believe all of you know him. He's a real life writer and a lunatic pope. Yeah. A lunatic pope. Imagine that. :D

Marina. A lovely young las that's (obviously ;D) a lifecoach wannabe. Most of her posts can improve your life in one way or another. :)

Nothing much to do today on such a dull, sunny Sunday in my small town but visit the local cinema and enjoy a nice, comfy loveseat with my girlfriend. :)

I was just watching a rerun of The Mentalist on the telly where Cho and Rigsby needed to jump over a big fence (and they did so in an, might I add, everyday manner) and a thought came to my head: why do our police officers need to meet the highest physical standards and, yet, need not be in the (at least) equal intellectual shape?

Aren't we classy! :D

Today, we're (and by the "we" in "we're", I mean me, my family, my gf and a couple of my mates) at my vineyard where we'll be picking some sweet sweet grapes so we could, further on down the road, make some  delicious red red wine.

It's official, my summer ended today; let the college games begin!

After watching the last episode of Friends (for, like, the 100th time, I reckon) I realized that, at one point in my life, there were summers whose end would break my heart.

It is only natural that I would find my long lost and forgotten Baldur's Gate 2 discs just at the end of the summer, thus the absence of both yesterday's post and my social life from now on.

I just recieved a letter saying I'm being sued by the national railway company for getting cought without a train ticket in a town I've never heard of (or even visited, for that matter); Denny Crane mode: on!

Help wanted!

So, a fellow blogger of mine, the young and talented Leila, has been trying to do a good thing lately.

A brother of her friend, Kei Usami, has suffered a spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed waist down. As you can imagine, the treatment for such an injury is a bit pricey. So his family needs all the help they can get.

What can you do?

Well, for starters, you might head over to the facebook support page and show the people they're not alone on this one.

And, maybe, you could spread the word; tweet, talk about it on your blog.

And, finally, maybe, just maybe, all of this will be seen by someone with some spare change in their pocket and we'll raise some money for the cause. You never know.

I was going through my old, dusty, forgotten winamp playlists folder on my old, dusty, forgotten used- to- be- a- beast- PC and came to a surprising revelation: I listened to way better music back in highschool than I do now. :s

Good God, I haven't had such a boring day in months and, believe you me, hours feel like years right about now; oh, well, stumble it is. -.-' :D

Yet another post about Haunter and moustaches :D

You may (well, you should) remember one of my older (actually, it was last week; maybe "recent" would be better?) posts where I started out with Haunter's illustration of my blog and ended up blabbering about my love for moustaches. You do? You don't? Well, it doesn't matter anyways. 'Cause, you know, nothing really matters, anyone can see...

What's that? Did I just quote the great queen of cool and the duke of awesomeness, Freddie Mercury? Why, I think I did!

How convinient! For, when Haunter asked us, the followers of his blog and the supporters of his magnificent work, to state what we'd like to see drawn in a silly manner only he can provide, I said: the manliest moustaches ever to walk this galaxy!
Also, on that note, do you think aliens have moustaches? O_o
But I digress.

I'm guessing this is from the Live Aid 1985. concert, or the Queen 1986. concert, both held on Wembley. This is when the rock history was made. Freddie slayed.

On this one, there's really no doubt; this is Freddies everyday apparel. Nah, just kidding. This is from the Queen I want to break free video, released in 1984. Fun fact: the video was banned on American MTV (shame on you!) until 1991. 'cause Freddie and the gang wore women's clothing in it.

And this is Freddie simply being awesome. :D

Dionysus

So, the other day, right after I spent a ridiculous amount of money on second hand books, I embarked on a little back- to- nature type of journey where I was accompanied by a couple of my mates.

One of those mates happens to own this cute little vineyard right in the middle of nowhere so the spur- of- the- moment decision was easily made and the sails were set.

The only problem was, if you can call that a problem at all, that we overrated both our drinking and eating capacities so we had too much of everything. That is the main reason why our one day trip became a six days trip.

That being said, the appropriate one- liner for today would be:

Kids, if you're gonna party like it's 1999, be prepared for the January the 1st 2000 hangover. -.-'

Time/ money well spent!

I just found out that there's this cute little flea- market- books- only event being held just down my street so this day suddenly went from uneventful to uneventful with books! :)

As much as I enjoyed the rain for the past couple of days, I'm really happy to announce that the sun finally decided to show it's face in my neck of the woods so I'll finally get to go swimming in the nearby lake and maybe, just maybe, catch a bit of tan (currently I'm in Michael Jackson mode ;D). :)

I was not gonna do this but...

If you need a fifteen hundred pages long manifesto to justify your deeds, what you did was probably unjustifiable in the first place. :S

For the past three days, I've been going through my followers and other varoius fellow bloggers and, oh my, I see dead people. O_o'

Dude, where were you?

So, yeah, I'm back.
As this is a mad, mad world we live in, I'm guessing that some of you might have forgotten me by now. So, here's the scoop.
I'm a twenty- something years old mechanical engineering student. I have a girl, or the girl, as I choose to believe. I love to read but don't have time for it. I love to drink but don't have money for it. I love music. Rock, metal, old punk and all that is in between.
I love blogging.
The reason for my absence lays here. I had a huge problem getting my internet connection in order; took me a while, but here I am.
I blog about myself. What else is there to blog about, anyhow?
I try to sum up my days in single sentences. People are bussy and probably don't have time to read novels about my everyday life. But sentences... They love it.
I love it.

My semester starts today and, this time around, I'm as serious as a heart attack; not as deadly, though.

The new place is great but it has no internet connection; working on it as we speak.

It's a sunny Saturday afternoon and I have a gut feeling that my day is going to end with some excess drinking and public nudity.

Today, my fellow bloggers, I am freaking out for my girlfriend told me that she's got some wicked plans for Valentine's day and I don't know what to give her so, pretty please, be good boys and girls and recommend me some insanely good Valentine's day gifts and ideas!

Highway star

A good friend of mine announced today that he was going on an unplanned backpacking road trip across the country just because he wanted to know what it feels like to dive into the ice cold sea and I'm wondering why I never had guts like that.

Slept all day

The only thing I did today was to hit "snooze" when my alarm clock went off.

Records

I'm feeling a bit down today, so I'm gonna go vinyl shopping; nothing like some second hand blues to chase away the first hand one.

Not a one-liner

No, this is not a one-liner. That being said, don't worry; I'll keep it short.
Found a flat. A good one, I believe.
The neighbourhood looks decent enough (I have yet to see but one crackhead roaming around) and it's relatively close to my college (my guess is twentyish minutes to half an hour via public transportation and dependant of traffic).
The apartment itself is neither small, neither large. Actually, for a bachelor pad, it is kinda big. But I don't mind.
And the owners seem like a really good folk. They're young, funny and they do seem fair. But time will tell on that one; I'm really gullible when it comes to people and their intentions.
The price... Well, it's in my price range. The midlle to high end of it. But it's actually a good price; between me and you, they could have gotten more dough for that place. Again, I'm perfectly happy with that.
But, don't worry; I'll find something wrong with this place soon enough.

In the light of certain comments made in this post by the author himself, I would like to state that I did not dress into or, by any means, try to impersonate a woman as a means of getting the apartment. I could never pull it off with my legs.

Notice

Not fat!

Shortly after telling me I should lose some weight 'cause I'm starting to look like my father, my grandma became mildly offended when I couldn't eat all of the cake she had put on my plate.

DNA ruined my day

Flat searching is a bit sexist; apparently, I'm one vagina short of an apartment.

Studying

Nothing says "exam time" better than a good old panic attack waking you up at six o'clock in the morning; lock up your books, and lock them up good, for, today, they will be hit hard!

Lazy is what I am

It's Monday and I'm feeling very garfieldish; easily annoyed and in dire need of lasagna.

I'm old

A glass of milk, a handful of cookies, a nice little book and my cozy ol' bed; partying hard makes me rest even harder nowadays.

Party

In about three hours I will be deeply, profoundly drunk which I am totally ok with; I'm not much of a dancer anyway.

No good deed...
